Arxada Appoints Peter Frauenknecht Chief Financial Officer

Arxada has appointed Peter Frauenknecht as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

Frauenknecht will be based in Basel, Switzerland, and will join the Arxada executive leadership team. He joins Arxada from specialty chemicals technology company Atotech Group, where he has been CFO since 2017. At Atotech, Frauenknecht was a key member of the leadership team that helped transform the business after the carve-out from the previous owner. Subsequently, he helped significantly increase the value of the company and was instrumental in its listing on the New York Stock Exchange.

Frauenknecht was responsible for the creation of professional, standalone finance and IT infrastructure at Atotech, drove numerous value creation initiatives and readied the company for capital markets. During his tenure, he oversaw all finance, treasury and tax operations, as well as external and internal reporting, investor relations, internal audit, the project management office and IT. Peter brings extensive financial leadership experience in both private and public companies, having held CFO and executive management roles at Constantia Flexibles and OSRAM.
 

Jan Kantowsky, who has served as interim CFO since February 2022, will ensure a smooth transition before returning to global consulting firm AlixPartners.
